Eczacıbaşı Holding, one of Türkiye’s leading industrial groups with operations spanning pharmaceuticals and personal hygiene products, today announced that it has signed a share purchase agreement for the sale of its tissue business, Sanipak, to Malaysia-based Arch Peninsula Sdn Bhd. The transaction values Sanipak at an enterprise value of $600 million.
The agreement, signed on March 20, 2026, outlines that the final consideration payable to Eczacıbaşı Holding will be determined at closing, subject to customary adjustments for financial debt, cash, and working capital, as well as post-closing adjustments.
Sanipak is a prominent manufacturer of tissue and cleaning paper products in Türkiye, known for its leading brands Selpak and Solo. Founded in 1969, the company operates three production facilities in Türkiye and two in Morocco, exports to more than 60 countries, and employs over 2,000 people.
The transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals in relevant jurisdictions, including clearance from competition authorities.
Commenting on the agreement, Eczacıbaşı Group CEO Burak Sevilengül said:
"Since entering the personal hygiene products sector in 1969, we have built some of Türkiye’s most trusted and pioneering brands. We believe this agreement marks a new chapter for Sanipak, enabling it to accelerate its global growth under the leadership of a strong international partner. This move will also support Eczacıbaşı’s strategic focus on dynamic portfolio management and sustainable growth."
Arch Peninsula Sdn Bhd is a global investment platform focused on tissue paper and hygiene products, with a portfolio spanning Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Europe, and North Africa.
The transaction is expected to strengthen Sanipak’s international expansion while allowing Eczacıbaşı Holding to reallocate resources toward its core growth areas.
