SEEPEX launched a new generation of macerators optimized for progressive cavity pumps, focusing on shredding solids and fibrous materials to prevent pipeline blockages and protect downstream equipment. The Easy Maintenance Macerator emphasizes service convenience, enhanced cutting performance, and higher system availability, marking a new phase in the company's Easy Maintenance strategy starting January 1, 2026.

For decades, SEEPEX has refined macerator technology to boost pump reliability by reducing solids to fine particles. The latest model features flow-optimized shear plate geometry, durable replaceable knives from highly wear-resistant tool steel, and a reversible shear plate. Maintenance access to the cutting unit requires no lifting equipment, simplifying service and foreign object removal.

The macerator handles throughput up to 100 m³/h with motor ratings of 1.5 kW standard, 2.2 kW, or 3 kW. Optimized cutting ensures fine shredding of solids and fibers, minimizing entanglements for extended pump operation. It enhances reliability for SEEPEX pumps and other systems like centrifuges or screw presses.

Optional reverse operation clears blockages without opening the unit by changing knife rotation direction during use. An integrated debris separator adds safety, while a cleaning flap enables quick solids removal. SEEPEX anticipates double service life and lower spare costs due to reversible design and bidirectional function.

Guntram Schulz, Global Market and Product Manager at SEEPEX, stated the new generation delivers handling, maintenance, and cost benefits through reduced wear and longer life, strengthening market position.

The macerator supports conveying capacities from 2–150 m³/h at pressures up to 10 bar, with energy-efficient operation compared to alternatives. Flexible installation options include vertical or horizontal setups for inline pump or piping integration.
