Ahlstrom has introduced an upgraded Flow2Save™ filtration media, leveraging nanofiber-enhanced gradient structures to boost indoor air quality and cut energy use in HVAC systems. The solution achieves ISO 16890 ratings from ePM1 60% to 80%, with up to 50% higher dust-holding capacity and 30% lower initial pressure drop versus traditional media, extending filter life and enabling potential energy savings of 50% in evaluations. Produced in Tampere, Finland from 100% synthetic fibers without PFAS, Flow2Save™ suits compact panel designs, gas turbines and cabin air applications, simplifying handling while meeting sustainability demands. Stephanie Pigeot-Rémy, Head of Global R&D for Filtration, emphasized its role in redefining standards through high efficiency, longevity and cost reductions for building operations and industrial processes. Ahlstrom, with €3.0 billion in 2024 net sales and 7,000 employees, continues advancing fiber-based sustainable materials across filtration, packaging and protective segments.
