Amcor hosted a customer event at its Steinfeld, Germany facility focused on the upcoming EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and its impact on logistics packaging design, recyclability and material choices. The event gathered stakeholders across the value chain, including Bundesvereinigung Logistik (BVL) and leading logistics and industrial packaging players, to discuss how regulation will reshape packaging systems and accelerate circular solutions. Participants toured Amcor’s operations to see innovations such as stretch hood film solutions for pallets that incorporate post-consumer recycled (PCR) content and downgauging to cut virgin plastic use while maintaining supply chain performance. Amcor also showcased its Bontite stretch wrap with recycled content options and high stretch performance for material reduction, alongside a wider portfolio of heavy-duty primary and secondary packaging for industrial and FMCG applications aligned with customers’ sustainability objectives.
