Andhra Paper Restarts Second Paper Machine at Kadiam, Restores Operations to 93% of Normal Capacity

Andhra Paper Limited has resumed operations of a second paper machine at its Kadiam manufacturing unit in East Godavari, Andhra Pradesh, effective July 23, 2026, increasing the facility's operational production capacity to approximately 93% of its normal level.

The latest restart follows the partial resumption of operations on July 15, 2026, when the company recommissioned one paper machine with a production capacity of 150 metric tonnes (MT) per day. The second paper machine, with a capacity of 55 MT per day, has now also resumed operations, marking further progress toward restoring full production at the site.

Operations at the Kadiam unit had been affected by lower availability of contract workmen following demands related to contractual terms, which constrained production despite permanent employees returning to their regular shift schedules. At one stage, attendance of contract workmen was approximately 35% of normal strength, limiting operating capacity. The resumption of the second machine indicates that these operational constraints are easing.

The company stated that there has been no physical damage to any of its assets during the disruption. It also confirmed that all insurable assets remain adequately covered and that no quantifiable loss or damage has been reported.

With two paper machines now in operation—one with a capacity of 150 MT per day and the other with a capacity of 55 MT per day—the Kadiam unit is currently operating at approximately 93% of its normal production capacity.

The Kadiam facility is located in East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh (533126), and the company continues to work toward the complete normalization of operations.
