API Group Holding, parent of Accredo Packaging and Advance Polybag, announced the launch of Advance Paperbag, a division focused on high-quality paper bags for grocery, retail, and foodservice sectors.

The product line offers durable paper bags with flat, twisted, or no handles in natural or white Kraft finishes, customizable with up to four print colors to help retailers brand while replacing plastic options.

“API has always been driven by innovation and sustainability,” stated Rex Varn, Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of API Group. “Advance Paperbag allows us to extend those values into the growing paper packaging market, giving our customers more choices that help meet both their performance expectations and sustainability goals.”

Advance Paperbag runs from a 165,000-square-foot facility supported by a $20 million investment from API Group.

The division held its inauguration on January 13 with a ribbon-cutting at the facility, joined by API Group executives including CEO Hank Nguyen, President Chinh Nguyen, COO Rex Varn, and Executive Vice President Kelly Duong, plus local officials like Sugar Land Mayor Carol McCutcheon, City Council member Jim Vonderhaar, Jennifer Alexander from the Office of Economic Development, and Fort Bend City Commissioner Andy Meyers.

Advance Paperbag seeks to provide impact-driven, customer-focused packaging that uses quality materials, design, and branding to align with consumer demands and environmental priorities.
