Azerbaijan Plans to Raise Investment in Hygiene Products Plant to $15.9 Million

Investment in a privatized baby diaper and tissue paper manufacturing plant in Azerbaijan is planned to increase to $15.9 million through the installation of additional production lines and the acquisition of new equipment.

According to Report, the investment was discussed during a media tour of the enterprise.

The plant was offered for privatization through an investment competition by Azerbaijan’s State Service for Property Issues under the Ministry of Economy in 2024. Fabriora Group LLC, which won the competition, initially committed to investing $8.8 million and has fulfilled most of this obligation under its Investment Program.

Media representatives were briefed on the manufacturing process, products, newly installed equipment and technologies at the facility.

On September 10, President Ilham Aliyev attended the opening of the paper and hygiene products manufacturing facility in Baku’s Garadagh district.

The complex covers 10.9 hectares and has undergone major reconstruction. Production equipment and technologies manufactured in Germany, Italy and Türkiye have been installed at the facility.

The plant currently has an annual production capacity of 5.4 million packages of baby diapers, 4.4 million packages of toilet paper, 2.8 million packages of kitchen paper and 900,000 packages of tissue paper.

The enterprise employs 240 permanent workers.

Its products are sold in Azerbaijan as substitutes for imported goods and are also exported to Uzbekistan, Georgia, Afghanistan and other foreign markets.
