Balkrishna Paper Mills Limited has announced plans to dispose of machinery located at its Ambivali factory for a total consideration of ₹136.2 million crore plus applicable GST, as part of a strategic restructuring initiative.
The agreement for the sale was signed with Symcom Exim Pvt. Ltd., and the company has already received ₹2.72 crore, representing 20% of the total sale value, as an advance payment. The transaction is expected to be completed by September 2026.
According to the company’s disclosure, the buyer is not related to Balkrishna Paper Mills’ promoter group, directors, or key managerial personnel, confirming that the transaction is conducted on an arm’s-length basis and does not constitute a related-party deal.
The Ambivali unit has played a significant role in the company’s operations. For the financial year ending March 31, 2025, the facility generated ₹232.36 lakh in revenue, accounting for approximately 96.35% of the company’s total revenue during that period.
The disposal represents a notable development for the company, particularly as it navigates financial challenges and explores ways to strengthen liquidity and operational efficiency. Proceeds from the transaction are expected to support the company’s financial position and future strategic initiatives.
