Bellmer has completed the start-up of a stock preparation modernization project at Piquiri Papéis, a producer of recycled-fiber paper, marking another project delivered in 2026.

The project focused on upgrading the stock preparation stage, a key process affecting final paper quality. Bellmer supplied and implemented a low-consistency cleaner system designed to improve the removal of mineral contaminants while increasing the efficiency of fiber and impurity separation throughout the process.

According to the company, the solution was developed using process engineering criteria that included mass balance calculations, determination of the appropriate consistencies for each processing stage, and flow rate adjustments to support operational stability and system performance.

The project also included process engineering activities ranging from technical surveys and flow sheet development to integration with existing equipment. In addition to supplying the equipment, Bellmer managed the project execution, including installation supervision, commissioning, and assisted start-up to ensure the system entered operation according to the intended design parameters.

The modernization project was tailored to the operational requirements of Piquiri Papéis, which is recognized for producing paper from recycled fibers and for its focus on improving process efficiency.

Bellmer said the completion of the project reflects its capability to deliver customized stock preparation solutions while supporting the operational development of Piquiri Papéis and continuing the partnership between the two companies.
