Benefitt, a new brand from Thailand-based beverage manufacturer Lactasoy, has introduced Thailand’s first high-protein UHT milk, expanding the ambient dairy and functional beverage market. The Benefitt High Protein UHT Milk provides 31 grams of protein per 350 ml serving and uses SIG SmallBloc aseptic carton packs for room-temperature storage, nationwide distribution without refrigeration, and portable convenience.
The no-added-sugar formula offers a low-viscosity texture to enhance drinkability, addressing common sensory issues in high-protein products. It remains lactose-free and includes fortifications of BCAAs, vitamins B2 and B12, calcium, and phosphorus.
Phanwana Mahasup, advertising manager and marketing coordinator for Benefitt at Lactasoy, stated: “Our goal with Benefitt is to make high-protein milk accessible, convenient and enjoyable for consumers across Thailand. The UHT format allows us to deliver high nutritional value without refrigeration, while the SIG packaging supports nationwide distribution.”
Produced on a SIG Small 24 aseptic filling machine, the product benefits from multi-format support and quick changeovers, enabling Lactasoy to enter the high-protein UHT category without new equipment investment. This demonstrates how aseptic technology reduces innovation barriers for producers.
Vatcharapong Ungsrisawasdi, SIG’s regional director for Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia, remarked: “Flexible aseptic filling technology continues to open new category opportunities for beverage producers.”
Previously, Thailand’s high-protein milk options relied on pasteurised formats needing cold-chain logistics and shorter shelf lives. Benefitt targets busy consumers, office workers, and meal replacement needs with shelf-stable protein via UHT and aseptic packaging. The product now sells nationally through 7-Eleven Thailand.
