BNDES (Brazilian Development Bank) has approved financing of R$ 122.55 million, through the BNDES Mais Inovação line, to support Klabin's investment plan in research, development and innovation (R&D&I) projects .
The funded projects will be executed until June 2027 at the Telêmaco Borba (PR) and Otacílio Costa (SC) plants, focusing on increasing the company's productivity, sustainability, and competitiveness.
“This is another financing from BNDES, adhering to the New Industry Brazil (NIB) program of the Federal Government, whose resources will allow the largest Brazilian producer and exporter of packaging paper to invest in innovative green technologies to develop new applications for its products,” explained the president of BNDES, Aloizio Mercadante .
