Shandong Bohui Paper Industry has formally announced plans for a new chemical wood pulp project with an annual production capacity of 500,000 tonnes, marking a significant development in the company's pulp manufacturing operations.
The company issued the first public participation announcement for the project on June 17, initiating the public consultation process associated with the development.
According to the announcement, the project will occupy a total area of 307,494 square meters and will include the construction of key production and supporting facilities required for chemical wood pulp manufacturing.
Planned infrastructure includes wood chip storage and preparation areas, an alkali recovery system, a white mud recovery system, a sulfur dioxide preparation system, an oxygen production station, and other supporting production facilities.
Upon completion, the facility is expected to provide an annual chemical wood pulp production capacity of 500,000 tonnes.
The announcement represents the latest step in the project's development process as Bohui Paper advances plans to expand its pulp production capabilities. No timeline for construction or project commissioning was disclosed in the announcement.
