Bracell, a leading soluble pulp producer and RGE group member, has received the prestigious 2025 Amcham Brasil Eco Award in the "Sustainability Practices in Processes" category for its innovative One-for-One Commitment, selected from 147 projects across 120 companies. Launched in 2022, the program conserves one hectare of native vegetation for every hectare of eucalyptus planted, ensuring production expansion matches environmental protection in Bahia, São Paulo, and Mato Grosso do Sul regions like Bauru, Botucatu, Entre Rios, Itanagra, Três Lagoas, and Aquidauana. In 2024 alone, it safeguarded 186,000 hectares in public conservation areas—larger than São Paulo city—with full equivalence targeted by end-2025 and permanent commitment ongoing. State partnerships enhance fire prevention, biodiversity monitoring using acoustic tech and deep learning against invasives, aerial wildlife crossings, and monitoring towers across 20 units. VP Sustainability Márcio Nappo emphasized its role in setting sector standards, supporting Bracell’s 2030 Agenda for 230,000 hectares conserved and 25 million tons CO₂ removed.
