Burgo Ardennes has earned the Lean & Green label, the European programme that supports companies in reducing CO₂ emissions from logistics activities through measurable targets and structured improvement plans.
A recognised step in a continuous improvement journey
Burgo Ardennes has obtained the Lean & Green label, a European programme focused on reducing CO₂ emissions from logistics activities through measurable actions, emissions monitoring and a structured improvement roadmap.
Participation in the programme involves the implementation of a multi-year action plan with measurable emission reduction targets and regular monitoring of progress.
Burgo Ardennes' action plan
The action plan developed by Burgo Ardennes uses 2022 as the reference year and covers the 2023–2027 period. Within the logistics scope assessed under the programme, the plan targets a 12.1% reduction in CO₂e emissions by 2027 compared with the scenario without corrective actions.
The planned actions focus primarily on transport activities, which account for the largest share of emissions within the assessed scope. They include greater use of rail and intermodal transport, selected use of HVO fuel, optimisation of inbound raw material flows and structured monitoring of logistics KPIs.
