Canfor Pulp Products Inc. announced details regarding recent and upcoming maintenance outages at its pulp and paper operations in Prince George, British Columbia.

During the fourth quarter of 2025, the Company completed a scheduled maintenance outage at its Northwood Northern Bleached Softwood Kraft (NBSK) pulp mill. The maintenance work was completed as planned; however, the mill restart experienced operational delays unrelated to the maintenance activities. As a result, the outage and restart delay reduced pulp production by approximately 15,000 tonnes during the quarter.

Looking ahead, the Company has scheduled additional maintenance activities across its operations in 2026.

A planned maintenance outage at the Intercontinental NBSK pulp mill is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026. The shutdown is expected to reduce market pulp production by approximately 20,000 tonnes during the maintenance period.

In addition, a maintenance outage at the Company’s kraft paper machine is also planned for the second quarter of 2026, which is expected to reduce paper production by approximately 10,000 tonnes.

The Company noted that no major pulp mill maintenance outages are planned for the first quarter of 2026, allowing operations to focus on stabilizing production levels following the Northwood outage.

Maintenance outages are a routine part of mill operations and are conducted to maintain equipment reliability, optimize efficiency, and ensure safe operations across the Company’s facilities.
