CENIBRA became the first company in the Americas to implement the SAP Green Token solution, an initiative aimed at unifying environmental data and indicators to increase transparency throughout the pulp supply chain.

The adoption of this technology comes at a time of increasing international regulatory demands, especially with the entry into force of the European Union's Deforestation Regulation. With the new platform, the company will have more robust data management, capable of meeting the traceability and environmental verification demands required by the European market.

TECHNOLOGY FOCUSED ON EUDR COMPLIANCE

The project was developed in partnership with the consulting firm OSH Pro and SAP. The solution allows for the automatic consolidation and management of environmental compliance documents, which are sent directly to the official European Union system.

These certificates function as a digital "seal of guarantee," proving that the pulp is produced in accordance with environmental criteria and without deforestation.

In the first two months of operation, more than 11,500 tons of pulp have already been tracked by the system, demonstrating the agility provided by the digitalization of internal processes and export logistics.

DATA INTEGRATION AND TRANSPARENCY IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN

One of the key differentiators of the initiative is the centralization and large-scale processing of data. The integration of information, including geolocation data and the origin of raw materials, allows for the recording of sustainability attributes from the forest to the final product destined for customers in Europe.

As highlighted by Gustavo da Costa Duque, Systems Analyst at CENIBRA: “With SAP Green Token, CENIBRA has a structured process for supply chain traceability. We improved our control system by adopting a robust digital solution that delivers more transparency and agility.”
