Central National Gottesman (CNG) announced that its Lindenmeyr Munroe division will acquire the business of Omaha Paper Company, a Nebraska-based distributor recently rebranded as OPC Direct. The acquisition will expand CNG’s presence in the Midwest and strengthen its distribution capabilities across key markets.
Family-owned and operated for more than 60 years, Omaha Paper Company specializes in distributing paper, packaging materials and equipment, wide-format products, and janitorial and sanitation (JanSan) supplies. Now led by second-generation owners Robert and Kevin Powell, the company has built a longstanding presence serving customers throughout its markets.
The acquisition aligns with CNG’s strategy to expand its North American distribution network while strengthening customer relationships and broadening the range of products and services available through its Lindenmeyr Munroe division.
“As we continue to expand our North American distribution network, adding Omaha Paper’s people, customers, and operations is an exciting opportunity for us,” said Peter Harding, president of Lindenmeyr Munroe. “This acquisition reflects our continued commitment to offer valuable distribution support to the core markets we serve, and to invest in and grow our business.”
Through the transaction, CNG aims to build on Omaha Paper’s established customer relationships, industry experience and regional operations while extending its reach in the Midwest distribution market.
The acquisition is expected to close at the end of October 2026, subject to the completion of customary closing requirements.
