Chinese Containerboard Producers Announce New Round of Price Increases Across Multiple Regions

A new round of price increases for containerboard and related paper grades has emerged across China, with several producers in East, Central and North China announcing higher prices for June deliveries. The latest adjustments generally range from 50 yuan to 100 yuan per tonne, reflecting a broader upward trend in parts of the corrugated paper and linerboard market.

In East China, major producers including Shanying Paper and Zhejiang Jinlong Renewable Resources Technology Co., Ltd. announced additional increases for white-faced paper products. Shanying’s Zhejiang production base said white paper prices will rise by 50 yuan per tonne from June 5 and by a further 50 yuan per tonne from June 12. Zhejiang Jinlong Renewable Resources Technology will raise the sales price of its white-faced kraft paper by 50 yuan per tonne from June 8.

Other manufacturers in the region also implemented increases. Shandong Century Sunshine Paper Industry raised prices for coated white-faced kraft paper and white-faced kraft paper base paper by 100 yuan per tonne from May 30. Shandong Yinhe Ruixue Paper Industry increased corrugated paper prices by 50 yuan per tonne from May 29.

Liansheng Paper (Longhai) Co., Ltd. announced several adjustments, including a 50 yuan per tonne increase for high-strength corrugated grades from June 3 and a 50 yuan per tonne increase for selected linerboard grades from June 5. The company also raised prices for Blue Leaf Whiteboard products by 50 yuan per tonne in South China from June 2 and in Zhejiang and North China from June 6.

In Central China, Henan Yadu Renewable Resources Co., Ltd. increased prices for all corrugated paper and linerboard products by 50 yuan per tonne from May 29. Hubei Xianglin Technology Co., Ltd. implemented a 50 yuan per tonne increase on supplied products from the same date, while Jiangxi Lulin Paper Industry Co., Ltd. raised corrugated paperboard prices by 100 yuan per tonne.

In North China, Qinhuangdao Jinmaoyuan Paper Industry announced a 50 yuan per tonne increase for corrugated paper and yarn tube paper, effective May 31.
