Several Chinese paper manufacturers have announced price increases for recycled paper, corrugated paper and related packaging grades, reflecting continued cost pressures across the paper and packaging supply chain.
According to notices published by industry platform All-Watson, Shanxi Qiangwei Paper Industry Co., Ltd. will raise prices for all recycled paper products by RMB 50 per tonne starting at 8:00 a.m. on May 16, 2026. The company also announced a further RMB 50 per tonne increase for all corrugated paper grades effective May 20, 2026. Existing orders that have been received but not yet fulfilled will also be subject to the new pricing.
Baixiang County Huaxing Paper Packaging Co., Ltd. said it will increase corrugated cardboard prices by RMB 50 per tonne from May 16, followed by a RMB 50 per tonne increase for high-strength corrugated paper beginning May 20.
Shandong Yinhe Ruixue Paper Industry Co., Ltd. announced that prices for corrugated paper products will increase by RMB 50 per tonne effective May 16, 2026.
Separately, Qinhuangdao Jinmaoyuan Paper Industry Co., Ltd. said it had already implemented a RMB 50 per tonne price increase for corrugated paper and yarn tube paper products starting May 13, 2026.
The announcements indicate continued upward pricing momentum in China’s containerboard and recycled paper sectors, where mills have been adjusting prices in response to market conditions and operating costs.
