Daio Paper Corporation announced that it will revise prices for all household and commercial paper products and paper processing products sold under its Elleair brand, citing rising raw material and energy costs and continued instability in global supply conditions.
The company said the price increase will apply to all household and commercial products, with prices rising by 15% or more from current levels. The revisions will take effect for deliveries made from August 1, 2026.
According to Daio Paper, its business environment has continued to be affected by international affairs that have caused fluctuations in raw material and energy prices and disruptions in procurement conditions. The company added that the unstable situation in the Middle East has recently intensified uncertainty in supply chains while also increasing procurement costs for raw materials and supplies.
Daio Paper said it had implemented measures including productivity improvements, expense reductions, and reviews of procurement methods in an effort to maintain stable product supply and absorb higher costs. However, the company stated that recent cost increases have surpassed what could be offset through internal efforts alone.
The company said the pricing revisions were necessary to maintain a stable supply of safe, secure, and high-quality products. Daio Paper added that it will continue working on management efficiency, quality maintenance and improvement, and technology development to ensure a stable supply of products going forward.
