DREWSEN SPEZIALPAPIERE has been awarded the Lower Saxony Foreign Trade Award 2026 in the “Large Companies” category, recognising its sustained success in international business development. The award was presented by Grant Hendrik Tonne during the Lower Saxony Foreign Trade Day in Hanover.

The award honours companies that demonstrate strong and sustainable growth in global markets. For DREWSEN, the recognition reflects years of continuous development and expansion of its export activities. The company כיום supplies specialty papers to more than 70 countries and maintains close collaboration with customers and partners worldwide.

“We are very pleased to receive this award and feel confirmed in our strategy to further increase our export share,” said CEO Amir Mirsakarimi. He added that the achievement is the result of the collective efforts of the company’s workforce.

Founded in 1538, DREWSEN SPEZIALPAPIERE produces a range of specialty papers for applications including security, technical, and packaging uses. The company continues to expand its international footprint while focusing on specialised products, often developed in partnership with customers and collaborators.

Despite its global reach, the company’s operations remain centred in Lachendorf, Germany, where around 500 employees are based. Many have long tenures, with some families working across generations.

The Lower Saxony Foreign Trade Award, established in 2003, recognises export excellence among companies in the region. For DREWSEN, the award underscores its ongoing commitment to international growth while maintaining its long-standing local presence.
