DS Smith Belišće Reaches First Phase of €15 Million Corrugator Investment

DS Smith’s Belišće Packaging team has reached the first phase of installation of a new Fosber S/Line 370 corrugator, marking a key step in the company’s €15 million investment to strengthen the site’s capabilities and support future growth.

The installation was overseen during a site visit attended by Country Managing Director Mario Müller and members of the management team, including Sofija Milić, Danijela Predović, Linda Culek, Ivica Gašparić and Danijel Vučički.

The investment is being carried out alongside the plant’s day-to-day operations and customer commitments, as the site manages the wider transformation programme. The project is intended to enhance the Belišće site’s capabilities as the company responds to changing requirements in the packaging market.

The investment comes as packaging customers increasingly seek sustainable and recyclable solutions, while supply chains place greater emphasis on efficiency and performance. Advanced corrugated technology is expected to support packaging production and future growth.

The project also comes amid a broader transition toward a more circular economy and improved packaging recycling performance across Croatia and the wider region, creating opportunities for paper-based packaging solutions.
