DS Smith names James Lomax MD for UK & Ireland packaging after International Paper integration

DS Smith, now an International Paper company, has appointed James Lomax as Managing Director for its UK and Ireland Packaging Division, succeeding Paul Clarke with effect from 1 December 2025. Lomax moves into the role from his position as Director of Supply Chain and Operations for DS Smith’s EMEA Packaging Division, building on more than eight years at the company across sales, marketing, innovation and operations and over two decades’ experience in FMCG and packaging. In his new post he will steer the division’s strategy as it aligns with International Paper, with an early focus on operational safety, site engagement and close collaboration with customers across the UK and Ireland to support sustainable growth and enhanced service.​
