DS Smith wins four WorldStar Global Packaging Awards for innovative corrugated solutions.

DS Smith, part of International Paper and a leading provider of sustainable fiber-based packaging, secured four WorldStar Global Packaging Awards. These recognize excellence in Spanish packaging design, with DS Smith leading Spain's 10 total wins from 481 global entries across 36 countries.

Box Pallet from DS Smith Packaging earned dual awards in Transit (Transport) and E-commerce categories. This high-strength corrugated logistics solution replaces traditional pallets, supporting up to 200 kg stacked loads with a compact, tool-free assembly and full recyclability.​

Reinforced Foldable Cardboard Packaging for Heavy Industrial Components from DS Smith Tecnicarton won in Transit. Designed for bulky metal parts up to 900 kg, it offers wood/metal-equivalent strength at lower weight, with foldable format for storage and reverse logistics.​

Mono-material Corrugated Cardboard Solution for Exporting Curved Automotive Parts also from DS Smith Tecnicarton took Transit honors. It replaces single-use plastics for wheel arches, holding 12 units with precise die-cut positioning, secure tab closure, and 100% recyclability for maritime shipping.​
