Dunapack Packaging, part of the Prinzhorn Group, has opened a new high-bay warehouse in Strasswalchen following an investment of €12.1 million aimed at improving operational efficiency and long-term site readiness.
The fully automated work-in-progress (WIP) warehouse is designed to enhance operational performance through advanced storage technology, intelligent software systems, and energy-efficient processes.
According to the company, the facility spans nine levels and is intended to support faster and more reliable material flows within the site’s production and logistics operations.
Gerald Prinzhorn, CEO of the Prinzhorn Group, said the investment strengthens the company’s operational capabilities and supports its long-term development strategy.
“With this investment, we are strengthening our capabilities and actively securing our future,” Prinzhorn said.
The opening ceremony was attended by Strasswalchen Mayor Tanja Kreer, Gerald Prinzhorn, Max Hölbl, Horst Santner, and project partners involved in the development of the warehouse.
Dunapack Packaging said the project represents a milestone in strengthening efficiency and preparing the site for future operational requirements.
