Dunapack Packaging, part of the Prinzhorn Group, has entered into an agreement with Stora Enso to acquire its German corrugated packaging operations, the companies announced.
The transaction includes Gaster Wellpappe, Wellpappe Sausenheim and PTI, covering facilities located in southwestern Germany. The operations employ around 350 people and are expected to generate approximately €74 million in turnover in 2025.
The acquisition marks a further step in Dunapack Packaging’s strategy to expand its geographic footprint and strengthen integration within the group’s paper and packaging operations. The company said it will leverage its integrated business model alongside Hamburger Containerboard as part of the expansion.
Completion of the transaction is subject to merger clearance and is expected during 2026.
The deal will add to Dunapack Packaging’s existing network in Europe and is intended to support both current and new customers through its established service capabilities. The company also indicated that the acquisition will bring new employees into the organization as part of the integration process.
No financial terms beyond the stated turnover were disclosed.
