Duni Group and Relevo launched Munich's circular initiative with five automated return stations at Viktualienmarkt, the city's renowned food market and central hub for locals and tourists. The project promotes reusable packaging to reduce single-use waste in high-traffic takeaway areas.

The partnership leverages Duni Group's majority ownership in Relevo—acquired progressively since 2021, reaching 50.02% in 2024—to deliver tech-enabled reusable systems for catering and restaurants. Relevo provides high-quality dishware, digital tracking, and user services for seamless returns.

This initiative extends their collaboration beyond prior investments, targeting Germany's 9 billion annual single-use containers. Duni Group President Robert Dackeskog emphasized end-of-life solutions alongside start-of-life products for minimal waste. Relevo Founder Gregor Kolb highlighted synergies for international scaling.

The Viktualienmarkt deployment marks a practical step toward circular take-away experiences across Europe.
