Durham Box, a corrugated packaging manufacturer, has collaborated with long-standing customer Ringtons to develop an innovative seasonal gift box for the company's 2025 Christmas gifting range. The one-piece box with lid, measuring 300 × 200 × 80 mm, features a clay-coated outer liner paired with a white kraft inner liner, digitally printed on both sides for vibrant graphics. A standout element is the intricate laser-cut detailing that exposes underlying print, creating a textured, premium finish that elevates the unboxing experience beyond standard die-cutting techniques. Sally Caton, business development manager at Durham Box, highlighted the project's emphasis on showcasing laser technology's creative potential. Ringtons produced 15,000 units, strengthening their decade-long partnership between the two family-owned North East England firms. Serena Philipson, Ringtons' head of product, praised the precision and commercial success, with plans for expanded laser-cut packaging in future launches.
