Emami Paper Mills Reports Q1 Profit of ₹386.1 Million as EBITDA Margin Expands

Emami Paper Mills Ltd. reported higher revenue and profitability for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, driven by improved operating performance and margin expansion.

Revenue from operations for the first quarter of FY2026–27 increased to ₹5,601.6 million from ₹4,597.6 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. Net profit rose to ₹386.1 million, compared with ₹63.1 million a year earlier.

The company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) more than doubled to ₹829.0 million from ₹377.0 million in the year-ago period. As a result, the EBITDA margin expanded to 14.8% from 8.2%, reflecting an improvement of 660 basis points.

Profit before tax increased to ₹532.6 million during the quarter, up from ₹93.5 million in the same period last year.

Basic earnings per share (EPS) stood at ₹6.21 for the quarter, compared with ₹0.84 in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

The company's board of directors approved the unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, at its meeting held on July 22, 2026. The results indicate year-on-year growth in revenue, earnings and operating profitability, supported by improved operational efficiency and higher margins.
