Ence Terra, which consolidates Ence’s forestry activities, is investing more than €1 million to modernise wood yards at its Pontevedra and Navia biofactories, focusing on improving daily experience and safety for hauliers, operators and partners using the wood and biomass reception areas. At Pontevedra, works include redesigned traffic routes, a new haulier waiting booth, reinforced signage, illuminated fixed signs, an information screen and two‑way intercoms to streamline communication between drivers and yard operators. At Navia, Ence has resurfaced internal roads, filled large storage islands to improve use of rain‑exposed areas and installed an information display, while introducing automatic blowing machines to replace manual platform cleaning, boosting safety and efficiency; this technology will also be rolled out in Pontevedra. The programme underscores Ence Terra’s role as a strategic ally of the forestry sector, supporting rural development and a modern, efficient, sustainable wood supply chain.
