Essity Appoints Ilham Smaali as Chief Supply Chain Officer

Essity has named Ilham Smaali as its new Chief Supply Chain Officer, effective 31 December 2025, when she will join the Executive Management Team to lead the newly created Supply Chain Enablement function. This role focuses on achieving economies of scale in sourcing and fulfillment, driving functional transformation and standardizing processes across Essity's decentralized production and supply network. Smaali, who joined Essity in 2023 as Vice President Global Planning & Logistics, brings extensive experience from senior manufacturing, logistics and planning positions at Estée Lauder, Nike and Procter & Gamble; she holds an M.Sc. in Engineering from ENSICAEN in France. CEO Ulrika Kolsrud praised Smaali's expertise and leadership as ideal for advancing Essity's supply chain agility in the hygiene and health sector. A French-Moroccan dual citizen, Smaali will be based in Paris to support global operations.
