Essity Ecuador Achieves FSC® Certification, Strengthening Sustainability Leadership in Latin America

Essity Ecuador has reached a new milestone in its sustainable management by obtaining FSC® Chain of Custody (CoC) certification for its Babahoyo plant. This recognition, granted by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®), ensures that the materials used in production processes come from responsible sources and have complete traceability, thus contributing to the protection of forests and biodiversity.

In addition to the certification in Ecuador, Essity also obtained the same endorsement for its Lampa plant (Chile) , consolidating its commitment to sustainability and responsible management of natural resources in the region.

The company emphasized that this achievement reinforces its commitment to developing sustainable hygiene and health solutions, promoting the well-being of people and the care of the planet.
