Longyou, China – April 1, 2026 – Felix Schoeller has announced a leadership change at its Chinese subsidiary, Felix Schoeller New Materials (FSL), with Hunter Huang assuming the role of CEO at the Longyou site.
Huang has been in position since March 15, 2026, succeeding Yong Li Gao, who stepped down on March 31, 2026, at his own request. The transition is part of the company’s efforts to ensure continuity and support the long-term strategic development of its China business.
Yong Li Gao had been with Felix Schoeller since September 2020 and played a significant role in advancing the company’s operations in China during a challenging period. Under his leadership, the Longyou site was successfully integrated into the group, and local sales were strategically realigned in line with the company’s global positioning.
Hunter Huang brings more than 25 years of sales experience and has held multiple leadership roles in China, including managing production sites. His experience with international industrial companies in the Chinese market is expected to support the continued development of the Longyou operations.
“Yong Li Gao led our Longyou site with great dedication during a challenging phase and set the course for successful integration,” said Hans-Christoph Gallenkamp, CEO of Felix Schoeller. “With Hunter Huang, we are gaining an experienced manager who knows the Chinese market very well and will consistently continue our growth trajectory on the ground.”
Since March 2025, Felix Schoeller has held more than 90% ownership of the Longyou site, which employs approximately 190 people and operates three paper lines. The facility is a key part of the company’s international decor business and its specialty segment strategy.
Felix Schoeller said it continues to see strong growth potential in China and remains focused on strengthening its regional presence while maintaining strategic continuity.
