Flint Group Packaging Solutions will increase prices across its packaging inks and coatings portfolio in the United States and Canada, effective December 14, 2026, citing sustained cost pressures during the second half of the year.

The company said rising energy and ocean freight costs, alongside significant increases in pigment prices, have contributed to higher manufacturing and supply expenses. Pigment availability has also been affected by capacity shortages for raw materials in Asia, particularly China, driven by Chinese safety initiatives.

Higher crude oil prices have further increased the cost of essential petrochemical precursors, including solvents, resins, additives and other related materials, according to the company.

Flint Group said it continues to improve operational efficiency and work with suppliers to mitigate cost pressures and maintain supply continuity. However, the sustained increases in input costs have made price adjustments necessary to maintain product quality, service levels and supply reliability.

Nicki Kerrigan, Vice President of Sales & Service in North America, said the company recognizes the impact of price adjustments on customers and has carefully considered the decision.

She added that Flint Group teams would provide customers with details and key data points to support discussions about the increases.

Local sales representatives will contact customers to confirm the price adjustments applicable to their respective products.
