Go-Pak Recycles More Than 16,000 Tonnes of Cardboard Within First Year of Go-Recycle Service

Go-Pak Group's Go-Recycle service has recycled more than 16,000 tonnes of old corrugated cardboard (OCC) since its launch in November 2025, the company said.

The service operates through a fully closed-loop system designed to collect, recycle and reuse old corrugated cardboard. According to the company, the initiative has handled more than 16,000 tonnes of cardboard collected from customers across multiple industries in less than a year.

The Go-Recycle scheme received the Silver award in the Sustainable Innovation and Investment category at the Packaging News Sustainability Awards 2026, sponsored by ZEISS Group.

Go-Pak said the initiative has created five local jobs while also supporting additional employment opportunities across partner organisations and the wider supply chain.

Tim Allen, Operations Director at Go-Pak Group, said the service has exported more than 16,000 tonnes of OCC on behalf of customers from a broad range of sectors. These include global fast-food supply chains serving restaurants and takeaway outlets, as well as catering equipment suppliers. He added that the diversity of organisations using the service highlights the impact achieved by Go-Recycle since its launch.
