Financial and Operating Performance
Graphic Packaging reported third-quarter net sales of $2,192 million, representing a slight increase from $2,190 million in the corresponding quarter of 2025.
The increase was primarily driven by a 1% improvement in volume and mix, contributing $19 million, partially offset by a $15 million unfavorable impact from pricing and $2 million from foreign exchange and other factors.
EBITDA for the quarter was $254 million, compared with $361 million in the prior-year period. Adjusted EBITDA was $289 million, compared with $383 million in the third quarter of 2025.
The decline in Adjusted EBITDA primarily reflected $83 million of higher commodity input and operating cost inflation, $15 million of unfavorable pricing and $3 million of lower volume and mix. These impacts were partially offset by $2 million of positive net performance and $5 million of favorable foreign exchange.
Despite the year-over-year cost pressures, the company continued to improve its sequential operating performance, with Adjusted EBITDA margin expanding for the second consecutive quarter.
Strong Cash Flow Generation and Debt Reduction
Graphic Packaging delivered a significant improvement in cash flow generation during the first nine months of 2026.
Net cash provided by operating activities totaled $295 million, while Adjusted Cash Flow reached $314 million, representing a $646 million improvement compared with negative $332 million in the corresponding period of 2025.
The improved cash generation supported the company's debt reduction efforts.
At September 30, 2026, total debt stood at $5,520 million, compared with $5,592 million at the end of the fourth quarter of 2025.
Net debt declined to $5,183 million, representing a reduction of $148 million from year-end 2025 and $300 million compared with the second quarter of 2026.
The company also reported capital expenditures of $64 million during the third quarter, compared with $267 million in the prior-year quarter.
During the first nine months of 2026, Graphic Packaging returned approximately $98 million to shareholders through regular dividends.
