Hansol Paper announced on the 26th that it received the 41st Excellent Papermaker Award, organized by the Korea Paper Association.
The award ceremony was held the previous day during the Korea Paper Association’s regular general meeting at the Seoul Club in Jangchung-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul. A total of four employees received the award: Team Leader Kim Cheolyoung of the Label Sales Team; Team Leader Lim Gyeongryun of the Technical Environment Team at the Daejeon Plant; Team Leader Kim Yuseop of the Technical Environment Team at the Sintanjin Plant; and Part Leader Park Gyeongho of Production Team 2 at the Janghang Plant.
The Excellent Papermaker Award is presented by the Korea Paper Association to employees who have contributed to the development of the domestic paper industry, as well as to strengthening industrial competitiveness and driving innovation activities.
Team Leader Kim Cheolyoung was recognized for fostering thermal paper as a next-generation strategic product amid the structural shift of declining demand for printing paper, expanding exports, and thereby securing a new growth engine.
Team Leader Lim Gyeongryun was evaluated as having contributed to improving production efficiency and competitiveness by building a resource-circulation system based on the recycling of milk cartons and aseptic cartons, and by optimizing processes.
Team Leader Kim Yuseop was recognized for leveraging the expertise he has accumulated over 24 years in production and technical environment to drive productivity improvements and secure cost competitiveness, as well as for creating on-site improvement cases through quality enhancement. In particular, it became known that his father was a recipient of the 12th Excellent Papermaker Award, and the fact that excellence in papermaking has continued into the second generation added to the congratulations and emotional impact among those around him.
Part Leader Park Gyeongho was credited with contributing to strengthening the competitiveness of the manufacturing site by leading projects to improve cost, quality, and production structure, and by promoting energy savings and the advancement of production technology.
A Hansol Paper official said, “We would like to thank the award recipients for their dedication to the development of the domestic paper industry and sincerely congratulate them on this honor,” adding, “Hansol Paper will continue to lead the sustainable development of the domestic paper industry by providing differentiated customer value, while at the same time enhancing the global standing of Korea’s paper industry in overseas markets.”
