Hansol Paper has obtained GR (Good Recycled) certification for pulp products made from recycled milk cartons, marking the first such recognition in South Korea’s paper industry. The certification, issued under the country’s resource-circulation framework, confirms that Hansol’s recycled pulp meets strict quality and recycling standards, supporting wider use in packaging and printing applications. Hansol recovers used beverage cartons, separates fibres from plastic and aluminium layers, and converts the fibre fraction into high-quality recycled pulp, helping to cut landfill, reduce virgin fibre use and lower carbon emissions. The company plans to expand its milk carton collection network in partnership with local governments and retailers, positioning GR-certified recycled pulp as a key raw material for eco-friendly paper and packaging solutions in the Korean market.
