Ferrara, Italy – April 15, 2026 – Harris American Company has completed the acquisition of G.P.S. S.r.l., strengthening its position in the global market for processing balers and shears.
G.P.S., founded in 2013 by Marco Garuti, is known for its equipment design, high-throughput performance, and flexible stationary and mobile applications. The company has developed an international installed base through its M Generation balers.
The two companies have maintained a business relationship since 2021, when they introduced the Predator and Destroyer product lines in North America. Since then, multiple machines have been installed across the United States, supporting Harris American’s expansion in the region.
According to Harris American, the acquisition aligns with its strategy to broaden its product offerings and accelerate global growth. The deal is also expected to provide additional resources to support the continued development and scaling of G.P.S.’s equipment designs.
DJ VanDeusen, President of Harris American Company, described the transaction as a milestone that builds on an established partnership and enhances the company’s ability to serve international markets.
Garuti said the acquisition represents a natural progression of the relationship between the two firms and a step toward further growth and international expansion for both businesses.
Avis Industrial Corporation, the parent company of Harris American, continues to expand its portfolio through strategic acquisitions in the industrial equipment sector.
