Hergen has secured another tissue machine project in Poland, underscoring the Brazilian supplier’s growing presence in the Eastern European hygiene paper market. The new line will be designed to run primarily on recycled pulp and recovered paper, aiming to reduce environmental impact while optimising fibre and energy use in tissue production. Hergen says the project reflects rising demand from Polish producers for efficient crescent former technology and high‑performance Yankee‑based tissue machines capable of delivering quality toilet tissue, towels and facial tissue at competitive costs. The company is currently manufacturing two tissue machines for Polish customers, leveraging its specialised engineering and large drying‑cylinder manufacturing capabilities, and positioning itself as a key partner for mills looking to expand capacity with more sustainable tissue technology.
