Hinojosa Packaging Group renews EcoVadis Gold medal with improved sustainability score

The packaging group increases its EcoVadis rating to 84 out of 100, placing it among the top 3% of highest-rated companies worldwide.

Hinojosa Packaging Group has renewed its EcoVadis Gold medal for 2026, increasing its overall sustainability score to 84 out of 100, up from 80 in the previous year. The improved rating places the company among the top 3% of highest-scoring companies worldwide, according to the sustainability assessment platform.

The assessment recognizes the integration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria across the group's operations, reflecting progress in its sustainability policies and management practices.

Sustainable procurement and environmental performance improve

One of the strongest improvements came in Sustainable Procurement, where Hinojosa achieved 90 points out of 100, representing a 25-point increase. The result reflects the implementation of its responsible procurement policy and periodic supplier evaluations to assess compliance with social and environmental standards.

The company's Environment score also improved, rising from 89 to 92 points. EcoVadis recognized progress in waste management, renewable energy consumption, emissions reduction and more efficient use of raw materials.

Labor practices and business ethics

In the Labor & Human Rights category, Hinojosa scored 79 points, supported by its commitment to human rights and workplace health and safety standards.

The group also achieved 70 points in Business Ethics, reflecting its practices in transparency, corporate governance and regulatory compliance.

The renewed Gold medal and higher overall score reinforce Hinojosa's position in the packaging sector and its approach to integrating sustainability into its operations, supply chain management and relationships with customers.
