Holmen has launched Aspect, a groundbreaking wood-containing magazine paper whiter than conventional alternatives. It delivers sharper photographic reproduction, high opacity at low grammage, and reduced carbon emissions.

Developed for evolving market needs, Aspect ensures clear high dynamic range images with vivid contrasts on its smooth matt surface. Publishers benefit from cost-effective premium printing without show-through, even at lower gsm.

Christophe Irion, Segment Manager Magazines at Holmen, noted that Aspect enables high-end brands to print premium content more affordably while cutting emissions and resource use across the value chain.

The paper preserves natural fiber strength through Holmen's production process, achieving higher quality and thickness typically seen in heavier papers. Lars Åkesson, Product Manager for Graphical Papers, highlighted ongoing mill efforts to maximize fresh fiber potential.

Produced from residual wood in sustainably managed Swedish forests, Aspect reflects responsible forestry with replanting and biodiversity focus. Holmen operates four efficient paper machines as a leader in lightweight graphical papers.
