Selangor, Malaysia –— Zhejiang Jingxing Paper Industry Co., Ltd. has marked a key milestone in its Malaysia Phase II project with the launch of paper machine installation, signaling the transition from civil construction to equipment setup and commissioning.
The ceremony, held at the project site, included senior executives and representatives from project partners and contractors. The event featured the first hoisting of a drying cylinder, officially moving the project into a critical installation phase.
According to Wang Zhiming, general manager of Jingxing Paper, the company aims to integrate green manufacturing principles and align construction with Industry 4.0 standards. He emphasized strict quality control and the goal of establishing a benchmark for intelligent and sustainable paper manufacturing in overseas markets.
The project is being executed with support from China Oceanwide Holdings Limited (CEC), which serves as the general contractor. Tan Wenzheng, general manager of CEC, stated that the company will focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery, building on its experience from earlier phases of the project.
Equipment for the production line is being supplied by Voith Group, which previously delivered the Phase I pulp line ahead of schedule. The company indicated it will continue close coordination to ensure smooth progress and early commissioning.
Once operational, the Phase II installation is expected to add 600,000 tons of annual capacity, bringing the site’s total capacity to 1.4 million tons. The expansion is intended to strengthen Jingxing Paper’s overseas supply chain capabilities and support its strategy in the Southeast Asian packaging paper market.
The project is positioned as part of broader China–Malaysia industrial cooperation under the Belt and Road framework, reflecting ongoing investment in regional manufacturing capacity.
