Jinlong Pulp & Paper Announces 100,000-Tonne Chemical Mechanical Pulp Capacity Upgrade

Jinlong Pulp & Paper (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Jintong Paper Industry, has publicly announced plans for a technological upgrading project aimed at increasing its annual chemical mechanical pulp production capacity by 100,000 tonnes.

The 100,000-tonne-per-year Chemical Mechanical Pulp Quality Improvement and Efficiency Enhancement Technological Upgrading Project will involve a total investment of RMB 146.6991 million. Construction is scheduled to take 24 months, from August 2026 to July 2028.

The project will be carried out at the company’s existing plant at No. 8 Xinggang East Road in Dagang, within the Zhenjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Jiangsu Province. No new land will be acquired and no new buildings will be constructed as part of the development.

Instead, Jinlong Pulp & Paper will rely on its existing factory area and public utility facilities. The project will include upgrades to key equipment on existing chemical mechanical pulp production lines, optimisation of process flows and control parameters, and measures to improve equipment operating efficiency and system stability.

According to the project announcement, the upgrade is intended to increase annual chemical mechanical pulp capacity by 100,000 tonnes while improving product quality.

Once completed and operating at full capacity, the project is expected to generate an additional annual output value of RMB 331.1096 million and annual sales revenue of RMB 331.1096 million. It is also projected to generate annual profit and tax of RMB 66.9602 million and annual profit of RMB 65.3246 million.

The announcement marks the first public disclosure of the planned capacity expansion project by Jinlong Pulp & Paper (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd.
