JK Paper has appointed Gunjan Dinesh Kumar Shah as President (Paper), following approval from the company’s Nomination and Remuneration Committee on October 12, 2026. Shah’s inclusion in the company’s senior management is effective from October 12, subject to approval by the Board of Directors.

Shah brings nearly three decades of experience across consumer durables, retail, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and telecommunications. He previously served as managing director and chief executive officer of Bata India Limited for five years, where he led the company’s growth and transformation initiatives.

Before joining Bata India, Shah spent nearly 14 years at Britannia Industries Limited, holding positions across regional sales, enterprise transformation and replenishment before becoming chief commercial officer. He also headed Britannia’s international business, with end-to-end profit and loss responsibility.

Shah began his career at Asian Paints before moving to Motorola. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree from VJTI, Mumbai, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Calcutta.

During his tenure at Bata India, Shah focused on franchise-led expansion, brand premiumisation, supply-chain efficiencies and technology transformation.

JK Paper stated that Shah’s strategic, consumer-focused and execution-driven leadership is expected to strengthen its operations and support the company’s growth in the paper business.

The appointment adds an experienced executive with a background in commercial leadership, business transformation and operational management to JK Paper’s senior management team.
