Songadh, India – JK Paper has announced the successful startup and commissioning of a new BCTMP (Bleached Chemi-Thermo Mechanical Pulp) plant at its CPM facility in Songadh, developed in collaboration with Valmet.
The newly commissioned facility is equipped with a Valmet HT BCTMP line with a production capacity of 400 air-dried metric tonnes (ADMT) per day. The installation is aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening JK Paper’s technological capabilities in pulp manufacturing.
The project covered the full execution cycle, from Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) through installation and final commissioning. According to the company, the structured implementation process was designed to ensure optimized performance and operational stability from the outset.
The addition of the BCTMP line marks a significant expansion of JK Paper’s pulp production infrastructure, supporting its broader manufacturing operations. The deployment of Valmet’s technology reflects ongoing collaboration between the two companies in advancing pulping processes.
The commissioning highlights JK Paper’s continued focus on incorporating advanced technologies into its production systems, while also underscoring Valmet’s role in supplying industrial-scale pulping solutions to the global paper industry.
