The KAMA cardboard and paper mill, part of the Sveza forestry group, has completed renovations to several biological treatment facilities (BTFs). The total investment in the project exceeded 50 million rubles. These measures are aimed at improving the reliability of the treatment infrastructure, which is a crucial component of the Krasnokamsk municipal wastewater treatment system.

Repairs were completed at the sludge storage facility. The drainage pumping station (DPS) underwent a complete overhaul of its pumping equipment. Three modern units with fully automated controls were installed. In addition, the station building was renovated. The equipment upgrades improved the facility's reliability and optimized energy consumption.

The measures taken ensure more stable operation of the wastewater treatment process and create the foundation for further improvements in the efficiency of the treatment facilities. This is in line with the plant's long-term environmental protection and sustainable development strategy. Previously, at the end of 2024, the company received a comprehensive environmental permit (CEP) for the biological treatment plant for seven years. This document confirms the facility's compliance with environmental legislation.

The consistent development of wastewater treatment infrastructure remains a priority in the plant's environmental program. The commissioning of local wastewater treatment facilities (LOS) in 2022 and subsequent modernization of the facilities have improved the efficiency of wastewater treatment in the Krasnokamsk District. The plant plans to further develop its biological treatment system to enhance its operational efficiency.

"Our biological treatment facilities are a vital part of the city's infrastructure. To ensure their reliable operation, we consistently upgrade equipment and modernize key system components. As part of the project, the drainage pumping station's pumping equipment was completely updated, modern automated solutions were implemented, and the facility's infrastructure was renovated. These measures ensure the stable operation of the treatment facilities, ensure compliance with environmental requirements, and lay the foundation for further improvements in wastewater treatment efficiency," commented Sergey Yuzhanin , Head of Wastewater Treatment Production at KAMA.
