The KAMA cardboard and paper mill, part of the Sveza forestry group, has summarized its investment activities for 2025. Total investment in production modernization and infrastructure development during the reporting period amounted to approximately 870 million rubles.
The investment was aimed at increasing the capacity of the coated cardboard (FBB) production line. To this end, modern equipment was purchased and installed in three key units: the wood preparation shop, the bleached chemithermomechanical pulp (BCTMP) shop (BCTMP No. 2), and cardboard machine No. 9 (CMM No. 9). Specifically, the edgebanding equipment on CMM No. 9 was modernized, allowing the company to increase production by 5.2 thousand tons.
Additionally, funds were invested in the digitalization and automation of technological processes, as well as in upgrading auxiliary infrastructure, such as road repairs, power grids, and overpasses. Special attention was paid to creating an optimal safety stock of critical parts and components, including spare shafts and equipment, which increases production reliability.
"Our investment program is focused on long-term results. We've invested approximately 870 million rubles in modernizing the plant and are seeing increased operational stability. Systematic equipment upgrades are our path to strengthening our technological independence and enhancing the competitive advantages of KAMA products," noted Roman Seravin, Executive Director of KAMA.
