Kemira Acquires Sidra Wasserchemie for €75 Million

Kemira Oyj announced February 11, 2026, the acquisition of SIDRA Wasserchemie, a family-owned German coagulant producer, strengthening its Water Solutions business in Europe.
The deal awaits German Federal Cartel Office clearance and closes in H1 2026.
Purchase price totals approximately EUR 75 million, subject to adjustments.
SIDRA operates two German facilities serving Germany, Belgium, and Netherlands; 2024 revenue hit EUR 40 million with EUR 10 million EBITDA.
SIDRA's 60+ employees will join Kemira post-close.
Tuija Pohjolainen-Hiltunen, Kemira EVP Water Solutions, stated: “The acquisition of SIDRA Wasserchemie is highly synergistic and yet another important step on our path towards doubling Kemira’s water-related revenue.”
She added it expands core coagulant business amid growing Western/Central Europe demand.
Kemira leads sustainable chemicals for water-intensive sectors like pulp/paper, with 2024 revenue of EUR 2.9 billion and 4,700 employees.
