Kemira has advanced into the top 5 among Finland's Large Cap companies in the Nordic Business Diversity Index.

The index assesses publicly reported diversity metrics in the Board of Directors and Executive Management teams across over 800 listed companies in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland. It evaluates educational background, age, nationality, and gender diversity.

“We are delighted to have achieved this prestigious recognition which is a result of our long-term commitment to Diversity Equity & Inclusion and Talent Management and succession. These people and culture themes have become part of our everyday way of working and strategy execution which are enabled by digital & fair data-based decision making and transparency,” says Sandra Dillon, Kemira’s Vice President in Talent & Culture Development.

Finland's Large Cap category included 34 companies. This year’s theme, The Future Talent, emphasizes diverse leadership for digitalization, intergenerational collaboration, and societal expectations. Kemira runs a talent program to develop future leaders internally.

“This recognition is a testament to the work done with our board of directors, CEO and executive leadership, as well as across the company as part of our Diversity Equity & Inclusion initiatives and executing our talent management and succession philosophy of developing leaders within the company, systematic talent identification and development and succession planning, and hiring externally to strengthen our leadership bench. It nicely supports our aspiration to be in the top 10 percent of cross industry companies for Inclusion,” Dillon says.

The Nordic Business Diversity Index is produced by sustainability consulting group Impaktly.
